Pakistan Meteorological Department has advised fishermen in coastal areas of Sindh and Balochistan to remain extremely cautious today as the powerful tropical cyclone Shakti approaches coastal areas.

All fishermen have been urged to avoid venturing into deep sea waters today due to the high risk of severe weather conditions.

Sea conditions are likely to remain high over the northwest and west-central Arabian Sea during the next 36 hours and very high till tomorrow.

The Cyclone Warning Center, Karachi, continues to monitor the system closely and will issue updates accordingly.

Authorities and residents in coastal regions have been urged to stay alert and follow advisory to ensure safety.
