Culture division devises plan to preserve dying traditional skills: Jamal Shah

Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture Jamal Shah has stressed on promoting different components of tangible and intangible heritage.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of three-day event titled “Display of work by Cinema Sign Board Painters at Lok Virsa Heritage Museum in Islamabad, the minister said that Culture division is devising a plan to document and preserve the dying traditional skills and creativity.

The minister said that 6th of September is a milestone in our history. He said on this day in 1965, the Armed Forces and people of Pakistan thwarted the enemy's nefarious designs. Jamal Shah said that the courage and valour they demonstrated has no parallel in history.

Lok Virsa organized the cultural exhibition of cinema board painting in connection with Pakistan Defense Day in which famous painters from all over the country participated.

The Minister said that cinema board painters from all over the country serve to disseminate the creativity of this almost vanished art of the country. He assured that National Heritage and Culture Division would promote indigenous folk cultural heritage of the country.

A large number of twin cities residents took interest in the exhibition.
