
Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb launched the online InvestPak portal for individual and corporate investors in Karachi today.
Addressing the ceremony, the Finance Minister said the government remains committed to providing maximum facilitation to investors.
He said the portal has been introduced to promote foreign investment and provide investors with easy access to investment opportunities through a modern digital platform.
The Finance Minister said an individual investor can make a small investment with as little as five thousand rupees through an Easypaisa or a JazzCash account.
He said the portal will help the growth of investment in the country's capital market and strengthen the national economy.
Muhammad Aurangzeb said Pakistan's economy is now on a positive trajectory, and with encouraging economic indicators, the country is moving towards economic stability.
He said the number of investors in the Pakistan Stock Exchange has also increased.
Addressing the ceremony, Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan Jamil Ahmed said InvestPak provides a single digital platform for onboarding investors, opening IPS accounts, and investing in government securities.
He said this portal is a faster and more transparent platform and will be available for retail and corporate investors.
