The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has condemned the massive crackdown as "collective punishment", warning that the unresolved Kashmir dispute continues to destabilize the region.

The APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar urged the United Nations to dispatch a team of observers to monitor the ground situation.

The statement also called for resolution of the Kashmir dispute as per relevant UN resolutions.

Meanwhile, restrictions have been intensified in Poonch and Rajouri districts.
