All Parties Hurriyat Conference has strongly condemned the intensifying Indian state terrorism in the wake of the Pahalgam incident.
In a statement issued in Srinagar, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas said India has subjected the people of Kashmir to relentless repression for the past seventy-seven years simply for asserting their legitimate right to self-determination.
He denounced India’s long-standing legacy of deceit, betrayal, and unfulfilled promises, emphasizing that its illegal occupation of Kashmir has plunged the region into decades of instability and suffering.
On the other hand, a report compiled by KMS on the occasion of the World Press Freedom Day, today, reaffirmed that IIOJK remains one of the most dangerous places in the world for journalists.
It revealed that at least twenty journalists have been killed in the occupied territory since 1989 while performing their professional duties.
The report highlighted that since the illegal revocation of Article 370 in 2019, press freedom in Kashmir has sharply deteriorated. Local journalists face routine harassment, illegal detentions, police summons, and death threats from Indian forces while foreign journalists are systematically denied access to the territory.
