An international conference titled Emerging Technologies and Development of National Defence Ecosystem was held at Bahria University, Islamabad.

Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf was the chief guest at the concluding session.

The Naval Chief emphasized the need to develop advanced technologies locally and promote strategic partnerships.

Discussions focused on emerging trends in modern warfare, the balance of power in the Indian Ocean and advanced defence technologies. Special attention was also given to artificial intelligence, computational sciences and advanced technologies for countering unmanned aerial systems.

The conference emphasized strengthening cooperation among academia, industry and the military to develop an indigenous maritime defence network.
