Pakistan’s inflation drops to lowest level in nine years

Inflation rate in the country has dropped to its lowest in last nine years.

According to Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the inflation rate for the fiscal year 2024-25 stood at 4.5 percent, significantly down from 23.4 percent recorded during the previous year.      

The statistics were shared by Chief Statistician during a meeting held in Islamabad today, with Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal in the chair. 

 The meeting was informed that prices of several essential items, including LPG, bananas, mustard oil, chickpeas, and moong dal, have decreased.
