Arrangements to bring back dead bodies from Somalia underway on PM directives

Arrangements to repatriate the bodies of Pakistani nationals, who died in Somalia, are underway on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

In this regard, the bodies of the deceased Pakistani nationals arrived in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, where the Ethiopian Airlines staff is completing the necessary preparations before granting final clearance for their transportation to Karachi.

As per the Prime Minister's directives, the relevant authorities are in constant contact to complete the process of repatriation to Pakistan at the earliest.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had assured all possible assistance to bring back the bodies of Syed Kashif Umar, Ahmed Ansari, and Rafiullah, who died in Somalia.

The Prime Minister spoke to Azhan Kashif, son of the deceased Syed Kashif Umar, by telephone yesterday, expressed his heartfelt condolences on the death of his father.

Shehbaz Sharif had assured him that the government would take all necessary measures for the earliest possible repatriation of his father's body along with the other bodies to Pakistan.
