1,147 acres of barren land made cultivable in Awaran

One thousand one hundred and forty-seven acres of barren land in Jhal Jhao area of Awaran, Balochistan, has been made cultivable under the Green Pakistan Initiative.

According to details, cultivation of cotton, wheat, onion, vegetables and fruits has now started on the rehabilitated land.

The agricultural activity is providing local farmers with employment, income and new economic opportunities.

The farmers have appreciated the agricultural rehabilitation measures, describing them as a new hope for prosperity.

The rehabilitation of barren lands under the Green Pakistan Initiative is contributing to the promotion of agriculture and economic development in Balochistan.
