In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organizations have said India is continuously violating international laws and conventions in the territory, leaving Kashmiris deprived of basic human rights.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in separate statements, they said that New Delhi is using black laws to arrest and detain people.
They further said India is settling non-Kashmiris in IIOJK against UN resolutions and granting domicile status to non-locals on a fast-track basis.
Hurriyat leaders organizations said this violates UN commitments and changes the region’s demographic character.
Hurriyat organizations also said Indian authorities are grabbing Kashmiris’ land and properties in breach of international norms.
They said Kashmiris are being forcibly denied their universally recognized right to self-determination.
The groups called on the world community to hold India accountable for repeated violations of global laws and agreements in IIOJK.
Meanwhile, in a bid to sever Kashmiris’ links with their past and Hinduize them culturally, the Modi regime has replaced the administrative setup of dozens of confiscated schools linked to Jamaat-e-Islami, further tightening its control over educational institutions in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Delhi-installed administration has earlier taken over 58 more private schools associated with Jamaat-e-Islami and its Falah-e-Aam Trust.
