Public demand for registration, monitoring and accountability of seminaries is gaining momentum in Bannu.

Expressing their views, residents of Bannu district stressed the need to register seminaries like other educational institutions and bring them under the ambit of the law.

They said seminaries should focus on providing quality education rather than engaging in politics. They said a government committee should monitor their registration.
