Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb met Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Bank, Bill Winters, in London today.

During the meeting, the Finance Minister appreciated the bank's continued support for Pakistan and its cooperation in various financing and capital market transactions.

The meeting covered Pakistan's ongoing structural reforms, latest macroeconomic developments and future areas of collaboration, including tokenization, international Sukuk and other financing opportunities.

Both sides also discussed potential capital market transactions to support the government's privatisation programme, covering opportunities on both the buy-side and sell-side.

Muhammad Aurangzeb said Standard Chartered Bank's strong investor network across Europe, the Middle East and Asia could play an important role in facilitating continued investor outreach and enhancing Pakistan's visibility in international markets.
