Pakistan Army has thwarted an Afghan Taliban-backed infiltration attempt by Fitna-al-Khawarij in Kurram sector.

Following the failed attempt, the Afghan Taliban opened unprovoked fire on Pakistani border posts in the Kurram sector.  

Pakistan security forces responded strongly, silencing the enemy's guns.

Security sources confirmed that the infiltration attempt by Fitna al-Khawarij was launched from Afghan posts located in Nangarhar and Paktia provinces. The brave troops deployed along the border effectively thwarted the attempt.

The Afghan Taliban targeted Pakistani border posts with heavy weapons, mortars and other arms in an unprovoked attack.

Pakistan security forces launched an immediate, effective and strong retaliatory operation, targeting several Afghan Taliban border posts and mortar positions with small and heavy weapons, including artillery.

Maintaining full control of the border areas, Pakistani forces gave a strong response to the enemy's aggression. Following the intense retaliatory action, the Afghan Taliban were forced to abandon several posts and flee.
