Intellectuals in India are also expressing resentment over the rhetorical attitude of the Indian leadership in the wake of Pulwama incident.

In an article, Vice Chancellor of Ashoka University Haryana, Pratap Bhanu Mehta admitted that the anger in India in the wake of Pulwama incident is self-destructively turning inward.

He also doubted the military capabilities of his country saying that India has not built the kind of intelligence, covert operations, and technological capabilities for a genuine sub-conventional warfare.

Pratap Mehta further wrote that the alienation in Kashmir is genuine and pervasive and the truth is that in the last five years, we made the situation in Kashmir far worse.
