Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has acknowledged that rape cases in India are a matter of great concern and a shame on the country.

He was addressing Indians at an event in London, after he was greeted with black flags by hundreds of protesters on his arrival, who were demonstrating over a rising tide of sexual violence at home, including two particularly brutal rapes.
