In Afghanistan, forty-eight people were killed and forty-two wounded in two separate suicide attacks in capital Kabul and Parwan province on Tuesday. In the first attack, a man on foot blew himself up near the US Embassy in Kabul, killing twenty-two people and injuring thirty others.
While in the second attack, a man riding a motorcycle detonated his explosives in the election rally of sitting President Ashraf Ghani in Charikar city of Parwan province, killing twenty-six people and injuring forty-two others.
However, Ashraf Ghani remained unhurt.
The Taliban have claimed the responsibility for both the attacks.
