IOJ&K: Kashmiris facing worst kind of double lockdown in context of coronavirus

In occupied Kashmir, already curfewed Kashmiris are facing worst kind of double lockdown in the context of Coronavirus pandemic.

According to Kashmir Media Service, two more persons died of coronavirus, today (Sunday) taking the number of deaths due to the deadly disease in the territory to 130.

Meanwhile, a Central Reserve Police Force man suffered injuries in an improvised explosive device blast in Pulwama district, today.

The area has been cordoned off and search operation is under way.  

On the other hand, BJP led Hindutva regime has started issuing domicile certificates to non-locals, majority of them are retired soldiers and officers from the Gorkha community.

According to Indian media, about 700 certificates have been issued in the occupied Kashmir, many of those who received these certificates are former Gorkha soldiers and officers.

Meanwhile, unrelenting military siege and crippling lockdown imposed by the fascist Modi government on August 5, last year, have completed 11 months, today.

According to a report released by the Research Section of Kashmir Media Service, Indian troops martyred 192 Kashmiris including 4 women during the period.

It said that at least 1,326 people were critically injured due to the use of brute force including firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells by Indian forces on peaceful demonstrators and mourners in the territory.

The report said that the troops damaged over 935 houses and structures and disgraced 77 women during cordon and search operations.
