In Afghanistan, three hundred Taliban prisoners have been released during past three days, after the insurgents announced a ceasefire on Friday last.
This was stated by Afghanistan's National Security Council in Kabul on Sunday.
With release of these new prisoners, the total number of insurgents freed so far has reached over 4,900.
Meanwhile, the ceasefire between Afghan government and Taliban held for the third and final day across the country Sunday.
President Ashraf Ghani and the Taliban have both indicated that long-delayed negotiations could begin straight after Eid.
