Constitution of Pakistan grants full freedoms to minorities

Dr. Sajjad (Religious Scholar): Islam is a religion that grants full freedoms to followers of all faiths. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came as blessing for the whole universe. He taught us that we must protect lives, property and honor of all human beings as per teachings of Islam. Islam makes it obligatory on all Muslims to protect the rights of minorities. Constitution of Pakistan grants full freedoms to minorities and gives them equal rights. In comparison with India, minorities are enjoying more rights in Pakistan. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah made the demand of a separate country where Muslims as well as non-Muslims could live freely. If some extremist elements in Pakistan act against followers of other religions, they are condemned by the whole society.
