The controversial citizenship passed by the India government is a threat for the minorities living in India for decades.

India portrays itself as the world's largest democratic and secular state but the ground realities are contrary to the claim. India is the country where  the minorities are not enjoying their political and religious rights. The international community needs to take practical measures to ensure that the minorities in India would enjoy the same rights as the Hindus are enjoying there. The controversial citizenship passed by the India government is a threat for the minorities living in India for decades. In my opinion, the main cause of violence across the globe is the double standards of the world. There is one standard for the non-Muslim countries and other standard for the Muslim countries. The double standards of western states have directly contributed to the rise of Islamophobia to alarming allowed under the guise of freedom of expression. The Muslims are exposed to discrimination, maltreatment and double standards to immediately fight against injustice and to criminalize insulting Islamic religion and values.
