Dr. Salman Shah (Advisor to Punjab Government on Economic Affairs): All economic indicators are going in the positive direction. Our GDP has reached to around 4 percent, with an increase in foreign remittances, exports and good results in agricultural crops. Economy has also seen huge influx of capital. There is an issue of inflation but the job opportunities are also increasing due to incentives offered in construction sector. Credit of all these accomplishments goes to the policies and vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Government is providing health cards to families in all districts which will transform the health sector. Similarly, Kisan Cards will help improve agriculture as well as well-being of farming community. We are in the phase of nation building and Pakistan is now on path of development and progress. Pakistan is a large country with around 220 million people, and half of our population comprises of women who are increasingly playing their role in economy. Government is providing more opportunities to women folk to increase their participation in various economic sectors. Banks are being involved in mortgage financing. Various allied industries are also expanding and progressing due to increase construction activity, resulting in creation of jobs and income.
