Dr. Shahid Hassan Siddiqui (Economist): Pakistan is also affected by the COVID-19 pandemic like other countries in the world. Economic recession is being observed across the globe due to this fatal pandemic. The priority must be given to welfare of the people and being an Islamic state, Pakistan is doing the same as per Islamic ideology. The government is utilizing all available resources to provide relief to people in the crucial times. State Bank must have to develop a strategy to provide loans on easy terms and condition to the people so that they can earn for their families. The IMF is also mounting pressure on Pakistan to comply with its terms and conditions.
