Lt Gen (Retd) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst): Cluster munitions are dropped from aircraft or fired from the ground or sea, opening up in mid-air to release tens or hundreds of sub-munitions, which can saturate in vast area. The 2008 Convention on Cluster Munitions provides the only international framework for eradicating these weapons. The use of cluster bombs by Indian forces is clear-cut violation of international norms and Pakistan should highlight this issue on all major fora. At the moment, Pakistan is making all possible efforts for peace and stability in Afghanistan. India despite of all its efforts will never succeed in suppressing the indigenous movement of Kashmiris. Indian is frustrated after the offer of US President’s offer to mediate in order to resolve Kashmir dispute.
