In National Twenty20 Cup 2017-18, Karachi Whites beat Islamabad by 19 runs in Rawalpindi. Batting first Karachi Whites were all out at 148 runs in 19 overs. Asad Shafiq scored highest 45 runs for his team. For Islamabad, Muhammad Irfan and Umar Gul bagged three wickets each for 25 runs and 45 runs respectively. Chasing the target, Islamabad Region could score 129 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Nouman Anwar remained the top scorer with 34 runs. Asad Shafiq of Karachi Region White was declared man of the match. In another match of National T-20, Lahore Blues beat FATA by 19 runs. Lahore Blues scored 177 runs for 4 in twenty overs. In reply, FATA could score 158 for 7 in 20 overs.
International cricket to be revived in Pakistan in two to three years
Pakistan Cricket Board has informed Senate Committee that international cricket would be totally revived in the country in two to three years. A meeting of Senate Special Committee to examine overall working of sports federations was held in Islamabad today. In a meeting, PCB Director Cricket Operations Haroon Rasheed briefed the committee about board’s matters. He said PCB is in talks with all cricket boards for the cricket series in Pakistan. The board has also convinced Federation of International Cricketers' Association about the security improvement in the country. Talking about football affairs, Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada said we need funds to hold football activities in the country.
First Test Match between India, Sri Lanka ends in a draw
The first test match between India and Sri Lanka ended in a draw today. Chasing a target of 231 runs, Sri Lanka were on seventy-five for seven when bad light stopped play in the final session of the game. The second Test of the three-match series will be played in Nagpur on Friday.
Asian Style Kabaddi Championship to begin in Iran from
A 22-member Pakistan contingent will depart to Iran tomorrow (Tuesday) to feature in the Asian Style Kabaddi Championship. In an interview, Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Secretary Muhammad Sarwar said the championship is scheduled to be held in Iran from 22nd to 26th of this month. A total of 12 male and 14 female players will represent Pakistan in the event. The teams include Pakistan, Iran, Turkmenistan, India, South Korea, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Kirgizstan, Japan and Malaysia.

Pakistan have won three medals after twenty years in the Asian indoor rowing Championship at Malaysia. Pakistan bagged one gold, one silver and one bronze medal in the Championship. Pakistan secured first position in the open mixed four events after Maqbool Ali, Rashid Hussain, Rabia Amjad and Naila Nano finished first in the category. In lightweight pair category Muzzamil Shehzad and Wali-Ullah Khan attained silver medal while in lightweight mixed four event Pakistan won bronze medal.

Japan's Junshiro Kobayashi has claimed a surprise victory in the opening event of the ski jumping World Cup season in Poland after beating two-time Olympic champion Kamil Stoch. Kobayashi is the first Japanese jumper to win a men's World Cup competition since Noriaki Kasai three years ago.
