
Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and across the world will observe the fifth martyrdom anniversary of veteran Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani tomorrow.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the veteran leader, Syed Ali Gilani, died on September 1, 2021, at his residence in Srinagar, where he had been kept under continuous house arrest for more than a decade.
Throughout his life, Syed Ali Gilani championed the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir and advocated the settlement of the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has urged people to visit the Hyderpora graveyard, where Syed Ali Gilani is buried, and offer Fateha for the martyred leader and other Kashmiri martyrs.
The APHC has appealed to Kashmiris living across the world to raise their voices and draw the attention of the international community to alleged Indian brutalities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
