Afghanistan has called upon the United States to release Afghan assets, end sanctions and disconnect humanitarian issues from political considerations.

The call was made by Acting Foreign Minister of Afghanistan Amir Khan Muttaqi during two-day delegation-level talks between Afghanistan and the United States in Doha.

In his tweets, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan, Abdul Qahar Balkhi, said both the sides discussed political, economic, health, education, security, and humanitarian issues affecting Afghanistan.
