Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has launched a three-year 'Punjab Innovation for Value, Opportunity and Transformation' initiative for the economic transformation of the province.

Addressing the launching ceremony in Lahore today, she said Punjab plays an important role in the national economy and had a significant share in the country's Gross Domestic Product.

Maryam Nawaz said around two hundred billion rupees in loans had been provided under the Asaan Karobar Scheme, while more than two hundred thousand people had obtained NOCs and other permits through the e-business system.
