Extremely high flood in Chenab River is heading towards Multan and Muzaffargarh districts from Chiniot and Jhang areas and water level is consistently rising in the area.
Radio Pakistan Multan representative reports that around 104 villages of Muzaffargarh district will be affected from this flood where 18 relief camps have been set up.
Eighty-four relief camps have been established in Multan division while over one hundred thousand people have been shifted from low lying areas to the safer places in the division.
Technical committee has been set up in Multan to decide the breaches to ensure protection of Head Muhammad Wala and Shershah bridges and other important installations.
