
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Chief Whip in the Senate of Pakistan, along with a delegation, met the newly elected leadership of the Republic of Iraq as the Special Envoy of President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari.
During the visit, Senator Mandviwalla delivered the personal messages of President Asif Ali Zardari to Iraq's President Nizar Amidi and Prime Minister Ali Falih Khadim Al Zaidi.
The messages conveyed the President’s warm felicitations and best wishes on their election and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its longstanding fraternal relations with Iraq.
Senator Mandviwalla also called on Haibat Hamad Abbas Al Halbousi, Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, and Dr. Mustafa Nizar Juma’a Al Ani, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Iraq.
They discussed further strengthening bilateral cooperation across a broad range of areas.
