Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that Pakistan's economy remained on the path of stability and recovery during the outgoing financial year despite facing multiple internal and external challenges.

He was addressing a news conference in Islamabad today after the launch of the ministry's monthly development report for June.

The minister said the government's prudent economic policies helped maintain macroeconomic stability, enabling the economy to sustain its growth momentum.

He said the economy grew at 3.7 per cent during the outgoing financial year, the highest growth rate in the last four years, despite significant external pressures.

Ahsan Iqbal said the government is taking effective measures, including strict price monitoring, to control inflation and provide relief to the public.
