United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has voiced deep concern over the support provided by the Afghan Taliban to Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan for cross-border terrorism.

He was responding to a question from APP about cross-border TTP attacks at his news conference marking the start of his tenth and final year in office.

Antonio Guterres called on the Taliban to ensure that no terrorist outfit operates from Afghanistan into other countries.  

Talking about internal situation in Afghanistan, the UN Secretary General said Afghan institutions should be inclusive representing all ethnic groups.

He said it was absolutely essential to respect human rights and essentially the rights of women and girls.
