Algeria's President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has appointed Abdelaziz Djerad as the country's new prime minister.

Abdelaziz Djerad who is former diplomat and teaches political science at the University of Algiers will build a new government to handle political unrest and a looming economic challenge.
