Pakistan and Sri Lanka have expressed a shared commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation in information technology and telecommunications.

The commitment was expressed during a meeting between Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Sri Lankan High Commissioner to Pakistan Fred Seneviratne in Islamabad today.

Both sides dwelt upon opportunities for greater engagement between the technology sectors of the two countries.

The discussions covered a broad range of areas, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, IT and IT-enabled services, digital transformation, fintech, startups and digital skills development.
