Pakistan and Oman have discussed expanding employment opportunities, skills development and labour mobility for Pakistani youth and skilled workers.

The understanding was reached during a meeting in Muscat between Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan and Undersecretary at Oman's Ministry of Labour Khalid bin Salim Al Ghammari.

During the meeting, Rana Mashhood said Pakistan is mapping high-demand skills in destination countries to align its training programmes with the specific requirements of international labour markets.

He expressed hope that Oman would continue to provide employment opportunities for Pakistan's skilled and semi-skilled workforce.

Undersecretary Khalid bin Salim Al Ghammari assured that the Omani government would continue working with Pakistan to strengthen labour mobility, skills development and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers, particularly youth.
