
Afghanistan’s economic crisis is worsening with each passing day due to Taliban regime’s flawed economic policies.
According to the Afghan think tank, Afghanistan Analysts Network, the employment crisis has become increasingly severe under Taliban rule, while the labour market has failed to provide people with adequate means of livelihood. Amid the economic downturn, Afghan women and children are forced to work from home for meager wages.
Spokesperson for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Afghanistan, Olga Cherevko has also highlighted the dire economic conditions faced by the Afghan people.
