Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar has felicitated the newly elected office bearers of the Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists.

In a statement, he said the government remains firmly committed to protect freedom of expression and independence of journalism.

The Minister said media organizations play a pivotal role in promoting democratic values and safeguarding independent journalism.

He assured to continue extending all possible cooperation for the welfare of the journalist community and capacity building of media professionals.
