Special Assistant to Prime Minister on National Health Services Dr. Zafar Mirza has reiterated to ensure provision of universal health coverage to the people.
Chairing Polyclinic hospital's reforms committee meeting in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said government is working on emergency basis to improve performance of government hospitals.
The Special Assistant said government has initiated practical steps to make Islamabad a health model city.
He assured that problems of staff shortage in Polyclinic hospital will be addressed with new recruitment.
Dr Zafar Mirza said induction will be made in scale one to fifteen whereas posts above grade seventeen will be filled through public service commission's examination.
He said a plan of doctor's promotion is being devised with the consultation of executive directors.
