World Hepatitis Day is being observed today.

This year's theme is "Hepatitis: Let's Break It Down."

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have reaffirmed the country's commitment to eliminating hepatitis and safeguarding the health and well-being of every Pakistani.

In their separate messages, they urged collective efforts to combat the disease through early screening, timely treatment and sustained public awareness.
