Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar has applauded Pakistani media for effective defence and projection of national narrative, and epitomizing a highly balanced and responsible journalism in the current situation.
He was telephonically talking to journalists and anchor persons on Monday, about the Indian move to block Pakistani journalists' YouTube channels in India.
The Minister said India imposed a ban on Pakistani channels to overcome its embarrassment as its narrative has miserably failed at international level.
He appreciated that Pakistani media has demonstrated patriotism, professionalism and responsibility in the current situation.
He said the government will fully support media institutions and journalists who contribute to national dignity, integrity and promotion of national narrative.
Attaullah Tarar said Indian government's ban on Pakistani TV channels and YouTube platforms is a clear violation of international principles of journalism.
He said such steps can neither undermine facts nor conceal Pakistan's position from the world.
The Minister said government will also raise its voice against Indian restrictions at relevant iinternational forums.
