The Senate on Monday continued discussion on the issue pertaining to rising escalation between India and Pakistan as a consequence of orchestrated and malafide campaign by the Indian government to malign Pakistan apropos to Pahalgam attack in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Participating in the debate, Senator Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui said the Pahalgam incident is a false flag operation carried out by the Indian authorities to defame Pakistan.
He said India has become habitual in leveling false accusations without conducting any investigation or having any evidence.
Irfan-ul-Haque Siddiqui made it clear that Pakistan is an independent and sovereign country and the people of Pakistan are fully prepared and united to defend the motherland.
Syed Ali Zafar said India is notorious in fulfilling its political designs through incidents like Pahalgam.
He further said India cannot revoke or suspend the Indus Water Treaty unilaterally. He said every Pakistani considers halting water as an act of war. He warned that Pakistan will certainly retaliate against any Indian aggression.
Faisal Vawda said the entire nation is united to defend the country against any foreign aggression. He said the armed forces of Pakistan are fully capable of responding to any eventuality in a befitting manner.
Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the Hindutva politics of the Indian rulers have marginalized not only Muslims but also all the other minority communities. He said only Pakistan is standing in the way of Indian hegemonic designs.
Kamran Murtaza criticized the Modi regime for allegedly rushing to conclusions without a thorough investigation. He said we are a peace-loving nation, but Pakistan should aim for ten targets if India aims for five, to give a befitting response in case a war is imposed on us.
Those who also spoke on the occasion included Poonjo Bheel, Manzoor Kakar, Jan Muhammad, and Syed Shibli Faraz.
The House will now meet on Tuesday at three in the afternoon.
