The National Assembly discussed a motion on the political and constitutional crisis in the country.

Participating in the debate, speakers called for supremacy of law and independence of the judiciary in the country.

Taking the floor of the House, Opposition Leader Raja Riaz and PPP Member National Assembly Naveed Qamar said independent judiciary is indispensable to resolve any constitutional crisis of the country.

Recalling different cases of judicial activism, they said impartiality is key to justice and no one should be considered above law.
