Israel and Hamas have expressed readiness to extend the truce in Gaza.
In a statement today, Israeli government spokesperson Eilon Levy said Hamas has been conveyed about Israel’s willingness to extend the truce in return for release of 50 more captives held in Gaza.
Both sides have exchanged their lists of captives to be released.
Meanwhile, Qatar, Egypt, the United States, the European Union and Spain have all called for extending the temporary ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Iranian foreign ministry spokesman Nasser Kan'ani said in his weekly press briefing that Tehran is in contact with other parties to make ceasefire in Gaza permanent.
