Governor Balochistan Amanullah Khan Yasinzai has said that the present government is taking concrete steps to provide best health facilities to the masses at their doorsteps.

He was addressing a ceremony held in connection with the launching of Balochistan Chapter of Pakistan Society of Internal Medicine in Quetta.

He stressed the need to form an institutionalized and regularized mechanism to improve the standard of medical education to meet health and wellbeing challenges of the people.

The Governor also emphasized the need to set up basic health units at union council level.

Later, a Memorandum of Understanding was inked between the University of Health Sciences Lahore and Bolan Medical University.
