Abdul Hakeem-Khanewal section of Pindi Bhattian-Multan motorway (M-4) was opened for traffic on Sunday.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi inaugurated the project at Sham Kot near Khanewal.

The opening of M-4 will connect South Punjab, Sindh and Baluchistan to Lahore, Faisalabad, Islamabad , Peshawar and the upper parts of the country with less travel distance.

AbdulHakeem-Khanewal section comprises three interchanges including Dinpur, Makhdoompur and Kabirwala.
