'Approvals under Apna Ghar initiative increased by 84%'

Adviser to the Finance Minister Khurram Schehzad has said Pakistan is increasingly directing finance towards homes, farms, SMEs, EVs and exports turning stability into opportunity, investment and growth.

In a post on X handle, he highlighted the progress made across key sectors since June 2026.

He said approvals under the Apna Ghar initiative have increased by eighty-four percent, while approved financing has nearly doubled to around 280 billion rupees. Loan disbursements have also risen by fifty-nine percent.

Khurram Schehzad said the agriculture sector has also witnessed an expansion in formal credit. Around one hundred and fifteen thousand more borrowers have gained access to financing, while approvals under the Zarkhez-e programme increased by twelve percent and disbursements by thirteen percent. For SMEs, approximately 330,000 businesses are now accessing formal financing amounting to 1.05 trillion rupees.

The adviser said export financing is increasingly being directed towards working capital, business investment, refinancing and export-related incentives.

Khurram Schehzad said government is also expanding green financing. Approvals under the PAVE initiative have risen by twenty-four percent while disbursements increased by thirty-four percent. EV deliveries have more than tripled.

The Adviser said objective is to move capital towards productive activity, broaden economic opportunity and enable more Pakistanis to participate in growth.
