Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik has directed to resolve Gas supply issues in Balochistan on priority basis.

Chairing the Board meeting of Sui Southern Gas Company Limited in Karachi, he stressed the need to resolve gas theft, technical issues and infrastructure bottlenecks in Balochistan.

He said the government is working on comprehensive reforms in gas sector with support of the World Bank.

Ali Pervaiz Malik directed the SSGC board to strengthen sustainability of institution and emphasized on reviewing current gas subsidy system and price slabs.

The meeting was informed that there is no gas load shedding for K-Electric, industrial consumers and fertilizer plants while gas is being supplied to domestic consumers three times a day.
