In Nepal, one hundred and sixty-five people have been killed and over one thousand and five hundred are missing after flash floods in towns and valleys triggered by a fall of rock and mud wall into a river.

Hundreds of tourists are missing, including more than 100 from India, 54 from the US, 34 from Australia, and 33 from the UK, as well as more than 100 from Nepal itself.

Police said they expect the death toll to rise.

The US Geological Survey says "glacial collapse and debris flow" caused the damage.
