Radio and PTV artist and radio moderator Begum Khursheed Shahid after a protracted illness passed away in Islamabad today (Sunday).

She was 95.

The funeral prayers of the deceased offered at DHA and buried in Phase 7 Cemetery.

Begum Khursheed started her career in Delhi from 'All India Radio and later after partition, performed at Radio Pakistan in Lahore.

She joined Pakistan Television in 1964 and acted in probably the best plays in the following twenty years.
