Syed Ali Zafar has said the notification of appointment of Saleem Baig as Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority will be issued on Thursday.

In a statement, he said the constitution committee had shortlisted the name of Chairman PEMRA on the directive of Supreme Court.  Syed Ali Zafar said the Apex Court approved the appointment of Chairman PEMRA on the recommendation of the committee.

The Minister said Supreme Court had ordered to issue the notification of appointment of Chairman Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority in two days.

He said we want the Chairman PEMRA to dispense his duties in accordance with law and justice.
