In the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops and New Delhi-controlled State Investigation Agency conducted cordon and search operations and house raids in many areas of the territory.

The troops during cordon and search operations and house raids arrested at least four Kashmiri youth in Badgam district.

The sleuths of State Investigation Agency accompanied by paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force personnel raided the residence of a pro-freedom activist, Muhammad Iqbal in Bathindi area of Jammu.

The SIA confiscated house documents, mobile phones and SIM cards during the raid.

Meanwhile, political experts have opposed the Indian plan to auction lithium reserves, discovered in the UN-recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

They said the Modi regime has deliberately leaked the so-called auction plan to the media in an attempt to blackmail the angry West, which is exerting pressure on India to hold accountable its secret agency officials involved in the murder of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.

On the other hand, The APHC-AJK hosted a reception for the visiting British parliamentary delegation led by Raja Najabat Hussain in Islamabad and briefed it on the latest human rights situation in occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In another development, a big protest demonstration was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir outside the UN Observer Office in Muzaffarabad against the Indian lies at the United Nations General Assembly on Kashmir.

A large number of people participated in the protest. Speakers on the occasion said that India had become a sponsor of state terrorism around the globe.

Sikh people in Punjab and other states of India have said that the BJP-led Hindutva government of Narendra Modi has created “an atmosphere of fear” for Sikhs both inside India and abroad.

Talking to media in Bharsinghpura village of Indian Punjab, Hardeep Nijjar’s uncle Himmat Singh Nijjar said it was very brave step of Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau to announce Narendra Modi government’s potential involvement in the killing.

He said, “now every Sikh family wants to send its sons and daughters to Canada” but fears that the Indian government might create hurdles in the process.
